Why online booking is a request
Dr. Dufour looks at every request himself before he confirms it, so he knows why you're coming in before you arrive. You'll usually hear back the same business day. If you'd rather talk to a person, call us at (510) 473-8008.
Paperwork, done ahead of time
Once your appointment is confirmed you'll get a secure email link to the Client Portal, where you can fill out your intake forms before you come in. It takes about 10 minutes.
Your first visit
Plan on about 50 minutes. Dr. Dufour takes a detailed history, examines you, looks at any imaging you bring and, if it's appropriate, starts treatment the same day. Reviewers often mention that he takes his time and makes sure you know your exercises before you leave.
What to bring
- Photo ID and insurance card (if using insurance)
- Any recent imaging reports (X-ray, MRI, CT) or a list of where they were done
- A list of current medications
- Comfortable clothing you can move in
- For auto-accident injuries: claim number and insurer, if you have them
Insurance & payment
We work with many major health plans and with auto-insurance medical-payments coverage for accident injuries. Coverage for chiropractic care varies by plan, so call us at (510) 473-8008 with your insurance card handy and we'll verify your benefits before your first visit.
Self-pay patients are welcome. You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before your visit.
